Diplomatie Culturelle – Recent projects by WHY

Join us for "Diplomatie Culturelle," a fascinating lecture by Kulapat Yantrasast, Founder and Creative Director of WHY Architecture. At a time when the world often feels fragmented, Yantrasast will explore the profound power of museums, architecture, and culture to foster connection and create common ground.

Drawing on WHY's extensive work, including projects at the Louvre and other cultural sites globally, Yantrasast will delve into how the spaces we design can transcend borders, unite communities, and contribute to a shared civic life. He believes that "Architecture is kind of a platform to shelter, to host other art forms, and collaborate together too. Strong space makes strong conversation with art."

The event takes place at La Maison Française, located at 4101 Reservoir Rd NW, Washington, DC. Doors open at 6:45 PM. Please note that there is no on-site parking; metered street parking and garage parking at Georgetown MedStar Health are available nearby.

Tickets are $25. For security, each attendee must have a ticket registered in their name and a matching government-issued ID to enter the Embassy. Please allow extra time for security screenings. Prohibited items include large bags, backpacks, liquids, and any items deemed dangerous by security staff.
