The Embassy of the Czech Republic hosts its fourth annual "Strašidla - Czech Legends and Mythical Creatures," an evening of spooky fun for young children. This event offers a unique glimpse into Czech fairy tales and folklore, introducing attendees to fascinating characters like the Noonday or Twilight Witch, Headless Knight, Forest Demon, and the Water Goblin.
The evening begins with an introduction to Czech mythical creatures, followed by a walk through a haunted forest on the embassy grounds, designed for children's amusement. Adults can also enjoy learning about the origins and explanations behind these notorious, intriguing, and sometimes lovable sprites, spirits, and ghosts. The amazing Science Guys will also be on hand, showcasing hands-on, bubbling, and engaging experiments for kids.
This event is intended for children ages 5-10 years old, who must be accompanied by an adult. There are two sessions available: Session I at 6 pm and Session II at 8 pm. RSVP is required by emailing czechembassypr@gmail.com with your child’s name and age. Please note that large bags are not allowed, and RSVP confirmation and a photo ID are required for adults.
