Join us for "Música Aperta," an immersive audiovisual performance by experimental artist and composer Nicolás Melmann. This unique event, presented in partnership with the Cultural Office of the Embassy of Spain, brings together sound, art, and technology for a meditative journey.
Melmann's performance blends organic soundscapes—featuring resonant strings, singing bowls, and organ—with electronic textures and visuals inspired by abstract animation and microscopic imagery. Originally conceived as a collaborative digital art project during the pandemic, "Música Aperta" explores the idea that music is never truly finished, continually evolving through interpretation and participation.
Your admission includes the live audiovisual show, a complimentary cocktail or mocktail from the XR Bar, and a return voucher to experience the SUBMERGE Project exhibition at ARTECHOUSE DC at a later date (a $40 value). This event is free to attend and takes place at ARTECHOUSE DC, located at 1238 Maryland Ave. SW, Washington, DC, 20024.
