About

Our 2026 theme, The Crossing: Voices Unbound, honors the courage it takes to move — across borders, across generations, across the limits others set. It is the story of our students. It is the story of Washington itself.
For 47 years, Multicultural Career Intern Program has stood at the intersection of ambition and opportunity — guiding college-bound seniors from Washington’s most diverse communities toward futures that once felt out of reach.
Each May, our College Scholarship Gala convenes the civic, diplomatic, and philanthropic leaders whose generosity makes that work possible. It is an evening of recognition, solidarity, and forward motion.
This distinguished evening celebrates the extraordinary journeys of Washington’s college-bound seniors and the community that makes their futures possible. The program includes a VIP reception, live performances, a seated dinner, a silent auction, and the annual Circle of Giving — a collective moment of generosity that funds scholarships for deserving students.
