Experience an afternoon of classical chamber music at the French Embassy's “Music of Friends” concert. This special event supports Friendship Place, Washington D.C.'s leading organization dedicated to serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
The concert features nationally acclaimed musicians, including NSO members Heather Ledoux Green (violin), Carole Tafoya Evans (violin), Ruth Wicker (viola), and Mark Evans (cello), joined by pianist Cecilia Cho from the Levine School of Music. Together, they will perform a diverse program of short chamber music selections by renowned composers such as Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Kodály, and Ravel.
Cecilia Cho, a prize-winning pianist, has studied at the Peabody Conservatory and with Menahem Pressler. She has performed internationally and is currently on the faculty of the Levine School of Music. Heather LeDoux Green, a violinist, joined the National Symphony Orchestra in 2005 and previously served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Kennedy Center Opera House Orchestra. She holds degrees from the San Francisco Conservatory and Rice University.
