Paul Lay Concert

Lay's impressive credentials speak to his mastery of the craft: he's the recipient of the Grand Prix de l'Académie Charles Cros (2014), the Prix Django Reinhardt from the Académie du Jazz, and was named Instrumental Artist of the Year at the Victoires du Jazz in 2020. His career spans international stages from New York to Tokyo, and he's known for his creative versatility as both composer and arranger, working at the crossroads of jazz, symphonic music, and multidisciplinary creation.

Recent projects showcase his innovative approach to jazz, including contributions to film soundtracks and symphonic reinterpretations of classics like Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Through acclaimed projects such as The Party, Deep Rivers, and Full Solo, Lay has developed a distinctive voice that bridges tradition and modernity. Currently teaching at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, he continues to shape the next generation of jazz musicians.
