Join us for an afternoon coffee tasting experience at the Mexican Cultural Institute, featuring 1790 Coffee. This D.C.-based roaster, launched by Rosario González in 2019, works closely with top coffee plantations in the mountainous regions of Mexico, including Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Puebla.
Discover the unique characteristics of high-altitude, shade-grown coffee beans, which develop complex flavor profiles thanks to a slower maturation process. 1790 Coffee is committed to working with certified organic plantations that use sustainable fair trade practices, ensuring a delicious and ethically sourced cup.
During the tasting, you'll have the opportunity to sample varieties like the Márago Moonlight Roast with notes of chocolate and almond, the Signature Roast featuring graham cracker and orange, and the Red Seal Espresso with hints of brown sugar. Tastings are offered at 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM, while supplies last.
Admission is free, and no registration is required. Simply stop by the Mexican Cultural Institute to enjoy this delightful journey through Mexican coffee.
